Planned Parenthood clients to pay out of pocket for HIV testing – Should we really be upset about this? I am most certainly not.
Planned Parenthood is complaining that cuts to their budget means people will have to pay for their own HIV tests; what a shame. Kristv.com Reports: Planned Parenthood Clients to Pay Out of Pocket for Testing CORPUS CHRISTI – Officials with the local Planned Parenthood facilities say national cuts will have an impact on patients here in the Coastal Bend. The agency says clients will now have to pay out of their own pockets to cover the costs for sexually transmitted disease testing. Clients will have the option to set up a payment plan to take care of their bill. HIV testing services cost $10. STD testing costs start at $79. I am so tired of Planned Parenthood and the pro-abortion machine telling me to “keep my rosaries out of their ovaries” or to “stay our of their bedroom and mind my own business,” but then they turn around and expect me to pay for these sexual activities with my tax money. Are you kidding me? I am supposed to be upset because someone has to shell out $10 bucks for an HIV test because they engaged in risky sexual activity? I can already hear the first argument out of their camp: “What about a woman who gets raped? She need the tests” Yes, she does, and the hospital will provide those when she goes in. She does not need to go separately to a Planned Parenthood for those tests. That argument is nothing but a straw man to get around the real issue. What is the real issue? The real issue is that they want to have as much sex with whoever they want to and they believe that sex is a “basic human right” which to them means you and I pay for it with our tax money. Then when the government-funded, Obama-mandated birth control does not work, the next basic human right, abortion, should also be free. All of this creates a nice cycle of sex, birth control, abortion and back to sex; all of this is funded by you and me even though we are told it is none of our business and to butt out. Here is another way we can spin this using their logic: I demand FREE apples, carrots and spinach for all Americans. It is said that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”; apples must be preventative medicine. Carrots must be preventative eye care. Popeye taught us that spinach is preventative against muscle deterioration. Using Obama’s birth control logic, it will save money in the long run to make these a basic human right and have the Government pay for them now so we are healthier. If our employers won’t pay for them we can just make apples farmers give them away free. By the way, I have a great solution to the STD and HIV testing problem. I did it, many of my friends did it and we all never have to worry about these tests again. Get married, stay faithful, Read More »
Special Request
Special Request: This being the first winter that Stand True is in it’s new office we were shocked at the January heating bill, over $800 between the office and missionary apartment. Right now I am in the office with the heat off in a hoodie and jacket trying to save some money. If you can make a small donation today to help us get through heating till spring that would be amazing. Thank you, Bryan Please click on the donate button on the top right of this web site to make a donation today.

Another “pro-choice” biology lesson
Dear “pro-choicers”, if you’re going to try and compare a sperm or an ovum to a unique human person in the pre-natal stage, what makes you think you know enough biology to decide when life begins. Sperm and ovum separate = sperm and ovum. Sperm and egg united = Unique Human Person. Arguing that every ejaculation is an abortion by God just makes you look too stupid to have an opinion.
Stand True Support Letter March 2011
This morning I am sitting in a host home I normally stay in during our Stand True Summer Mission Trip. I am speaking in Cleveland this weekend and they offered my daughter and me a place to sleep for a few days, to help us save Stand True three days of hotel costs. I love our supporters so much even though I hate asking for support. I was talking to a friend recently about how much I hate to write our monthly support letters and he said something to me that made me pause. He told me that while it is never fun asking people for money, those that support the work we do at Stand True only wish they could give more than they do. He told me that those who love our ministry want to know what our needs are so they can pray for us and support in whatever way they can. I thought about that for a minute and realized that this is true for other ministries that I love and support. I do want to know their needs; even if I cannot always send them money, I can pray for their needs. So while I cannot say that I love this process, I will do it with the knowledge that I am giving you the opportunity to pray for us and support this important work. If I had not asked the Kribbs for a place to stay, I would have had to pay for three nights of hotel in Cleveland, and that would have been expensive. March is actually one of the most expensive months for Stand True as we have to start paying deposits for all of booths we need during the Stand True Summer Mission Trip. Every summer, Stand True reaches hundreds of thousands for young people with the pro-life message. At each festival we will have at least 10,000 people a day come by our booth. Many of these people have no idea what abortion is or how it is affecting our nation. The Stand True missionaries live in tents, floors of host homes and the seat of the van for months as they travel across the country. They give up luxuries like beds, hot showers, hot meals and even stand behind the booth in 6 inches of mud for hours in order to be able to reach out to their generation with the message of life and the Gospel of Christ. We have to raise at least $25,000 to prepare for the Sumer Mission Trip and get all the booths paid for, get the van fixed and start to order the materials needed. The total Summer Mission Trip will cost over $50,000. This is on top of monthly expenses we have to pay every month; this is something we really need you to step forward on and make sure we are able to accomplish this summer. Here is the breakdown: Booth cost per festival: $1,200 – $2,000 Literature, educational materials and Read More »
