This is the generation that will abolish abortion

Dear Friends

If you knew the 5 year old next door to you was being molested would you say “thats just not my ministry”? If you knew the young woman across the street was being beaten by her husband would you say, “I will just pray for her and not take actual action”? If you knew the teenage girl down the street was being raped would you keep quiet because “you don’t want to judge¬†the guy who is raping her”? Ridiculous questions? I have heard every one of these excuses from people about abortion for the past 20 years that I have been involved in pro-life. Now that we have reached 40 years of legalized child killing and over 55,000,000 dead, do you think maybe it’s time to make this your ministry, take action and speak up?

On this anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I posted the quote by Mother Teresa on my Facebook wall that says, “It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you can live as you wish.” I got this comment from a Facebook “friend” that I’m in graduate school with:
“Which is why publicly-funded family planning services are amazing — helping women avoid having to make an incredibly difficult choice when facing an unplanned pregnancy! Avoiding 800,000+ abortions a year sounds like a fantastic plan to me: “the national family planning program prevents 1.94 million unintended pregnancies, including almost 400,000 teen pregnancies, each year. These pregnancies would result in 860,000 unintended births, 810,000 abortions and 270,000 miscarriages” http://www.guttmacher.org/media/nr/2009/02/23/index.html

It continues to amaze me that people can delude themselves into believing that abortion is right and that “family planning programs” are helping our country. I thought I would share this and let you know that I appreciate all the work you do and all the negative comments that you have to deal with every day from people like this. Thank you!

Yes definitely!!! Also one often hears: “I can’t impose my pro-life views on others because we have separation of church and state and abortion is a religious issue.” Well, so are murder, rape and robbery. Yet we impose our views of them on others all the time through our laws. Because REASON as well as faith lead us to see they are evil.
