sorry wont do it. you should boycott the tour rather than the band.
Im not even the biggest fan of them.
honestly you’ve just taken this to far.
spamming and flaming their twitter and facebook and email is just annoying.
there might be circumstances that you are unaware of that they cannot make public.
also, i know you told people to comment with love, and not to name call them and not to be mean, but most every comment i had read on their facebook was rude, and disrespectful.
yes there were a few nice ones, but far and few.

I’m Pro-Life but STRONGLY DISAGREE on this Tactic !!! Don’t attack Texas In July !! … Attack Hot Topic instead , Boycott them !!!
I emailed a very successful Christian Metal Band Vocalist from a High Profile Label. He said that this is above Texas In July’s Head , and probably was not aware that SexEtc.Org was a Tour Sponsor.
He does agree that Texas In July should be more aware & investigating the details of a Tour , like Sponsors.
Why don’t you have veteran Touring Bands metor young Bands like Texas In July about Responsibility instead of Crucifing them.
Texas In July’s Drummer Adam Gray had Bible Study on prior Tour with FOR TODAY’S Mattie Montgomery and has shown great growth in the last year.

I am attacking their decision to raise money for a pro-abortion web site and expose kids to this dangerous and site.

if thats your logic then your exposing this site just by mentioning it.
the more you make a fuss, the more the site’s name gets thrown about.
anyone who reads this blog has the same amount of exposer to the site as the tour would give. In fact you’ve even given pictures.

look i know you care, and i can see something in you but i plea, stop trying to tear down this band.
tear down this organization your so against.

the band gave their statement and said they are not pro abortion. but they did say they feel this is were God wants them to be at this moment. this is why everyone on their facebook (christians and nonchristians alike) keep saying that this attack on the band is being judgmental.

that is not true, there have been hundreds of kids speaking against them doing this tour and they deleted every single comment that spoke against this tour.

they deleted the comments because they were being flooded all at once of accusations of being hypocrites. yes some comments were cival, but they needed to shutdown their facebook and gather their thoughts for an appropriate response. their note was their response to everyone, and i thought it was a mature way to handle this.
their facebook was flooded with comments about this subject, and they deleted the comments on their statuses most likely because they dident pertain to the current status, plus not every comment that was left was in good nature.
i know you had asked then to leave loving, and respectful comments, but alot of them i read were down right mean.
and i will say not all of the people who were defending TIJ were in the right either, but you have to have compassion and you have to have grace, and you have to have patience with these people.
I am so sick of all of the arguments spawned over this, and ive seen so many nonbelievers turned away because of the actions that have been taken.

you have a passion, yes, and i love your zeal for God, but the actions that have been taken shows no love. it show no forgivness.
the good intentions of this protest have been missdirected and have been coming off as hateful to a lot of people.

I’ve said this before, but ill say it again. Protest the organization being sponsered, protest the tour.
but please leave TIJ alone, Its hard what they do and all of this controversy has laid in alot more stress to them im sure.

They have said this is the right place for them to be right now, and i believe them. if they are locked into contractual binding agreement that they cant get out of(or even if they are not) this is their chance to reflect God’s light in the darkness. what use are we if we just preach to those who know God.

If you want to jump on a band then go find a band that has renounced their faith, because it is evident that this band has not. you can say all you want about how you disagree with them, but you have no right to take away their title as a christian band.

You know not their situation, and you know not the plans God has for them.

many people have called them hypocrites, but for all those who do
Matthew 7:5 “You hypocrite! take the plank out of your eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye”

And i sorry if this is offense to anyone, but i’m just so sick of all of this.
you all have a point to make, and a voice to be heard. but you are doing it so blindly that you kick your brothers in Christ hen they trip.
all of you have a passion but it needs to be directed better.

    ok, im done.
I need to go finish my final exam for a class.

but my final words are that i love you all, and i will pray for both you and the band tonight.
at the end of the day always remember that God is good.
    Night everyone

I don’t understand how one equates sexual education with being pro-choice. That’s quite a stretch. You are against the reproductive health of young women? Against young men having the knowledge of how to take responsibility? Are you promoting ignorance in the HOPE that young adults will never have any kind of intimate relations, in the HOPE that there will never be unwanted pregnancy or STD? It’s short-sighted, disingenuous, and really dangerous to spread this kind of disinformation. Teen pregnancy, STD, and HIV are all life-threatening. Let’s give young men and women the knowledge and tools to keep themselves safe.
