This is the generation that will abolish abortion

Planned Parenthood clients to pay out of pocket for HIV testing – Should we really be upset about this? I am most certainly not.

Planned Parenthood is complaining that cuts to their budget means people will have to pay for their own HIV tests; what a shame. Reports:

Planned Parenthood Clients to Pay Out of Pocket for Testing

CORPUS CHRISTI – Officials with the local Planned Parenthood facilities say national cuts will have an impact on patients here in the Coastal Bend.

The agency says clients will now have to pay out of their own pockets to cover the costs for sexually transmitted disease testing.

Clients will have the option to set up a payment plan to take care of their bill.

HIV testing services cost $10. STD testing costs start at $79.

I am so tired of Planned Parenthood and the pro-abortion machine telling me to “keep my rosaries out of their ovaries” or to “stay our of their bedroom and mind my own business,” but then they turn around and expect me to pay for these sexual activities with my tax money. Are you kidding me? I am supposed to be upset because someone has to shell out $10 bucks for an HIV test because they engaged in risky sexual activity?

I can already hear the first argument out of their camp: “What about a woman who gets raped? She need the tests” Yes, she does, and the hospital will provide those when she goes in.  She does not need to go separately to a Planned Parenthood for those tests. That argument is nothing but a straw man to get around the real issue.

What is the real issue? The real issue is that they want to have as much sex with whoever they want to and they believe that sex is a “basic human right” which to them means you and I pay for it with our tax money. Then when the government-funded, Obama-mandated birth control does not work, the next basic human right, abortion, should also be free. All of this creates a nice cycle of sex, birth control, abortion and back to sex; all of this is funded by you and me even though we are told it is none of our business and to butt out.

Here is another way we can spin this using their logic:

I demand FREE apples, carrots and spinach for all Americans. It is said that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”; apples must be preventative medicine. Carrots must be preventative eye care. Popeye taught us that spinach is preventative against muscle deterioration. Using Obama’s birth control logic, it will save money in the long run to make these a basic human right and have the Government pay for them now so we are healthier. If our employers won’t pay for them we can just make apples farmers give them away free.

By the way, I have a great solution to the STD and HIV testing problem. I did it, many of my friends did it and we all never have to worry about these tests again. Get married, stay faithful, problem solved.

You seem to offer ‘christian compassion’ and understanding only to those that believe as you do. By doing so you are committing an act of vanity and trying to play god yourself. Catholics and other christians often engage in premarital sex, casual sex, etc…

Many people would call you ignorant, I don’t find you to be ignorant. I find you to be intolerant, judgmental, but intelligent. I have sympathy for the ignorant people in the world, but when people such as yourself and your followers prey upon the ignorant you become much more worse.

If the god you use to justify your beliefs really exists he/she better be very compassionate because you have acted very selfishly with out a scrap of humanity or morality.

The only ones that are acting out of selfishness are the ones demanding the taxpayers pay for their promiscuous lifestyle. It’s all about them and their perceived needs. Nevermind the fact our goverment is going broke trying to appease persons like them who will never be happy with what they get on the backs of the taxpayers. Being compassionate does not also mean to keep giving resources to reward irresponsible behavior.

“Promiscuous lifestyle”??? What about the women who are married with children? Are their abortions ok in your eyes? Why don’t we sit you down and have you right out what you and your personal beliefs deem to be correct. What gives you the right to judge others? Why is promiscuous a bad thing to you? Why are some religious people so judgmental?

“Yes, she does, and the hospital will provide those when she goes in.”

This assumes that all women who are raped will go to the hospital. This is an unfounded and unreasonable assumption.

“I demand FREE apples, carrots and spinach for all Americans. It is said that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”; apples must be preventative medicine. Carrots must be preventative eye care. Popeye taught us that spinach is preventative against muscle deterioration.”

In a lot of states, with a doctor’s prescription, Medicaid covers over-the-counter drugs such as the vitamins and minerals present in fruits and vegetables.

“$10 bucks for an HIV test because they engaged in risky sexual activity?”

Firstly, there are ways other than sexual activity to contract HIV (source: ). Secondly, what if I’m monogamous, but – unbeknownst to me – my partner is not? What if the person she’s sleeping with has HIV? What if I can’t afford a $10 test?

For those who believe Planned Parenthood is a benevolent organization please see the following web sites.

The Relationship Between Abortion, Breast Carcinoma, and Population Control

Let me offer another example of a population control program which is being promoted here in the United States today. Many physicians have expressed their concern about the dramatic increase in breast carcinoma seen in women in recent years. Despite the fact that 18 scientific studies published in both domestic and foreign medical journals have clearly demonstrated the direct causal relationship between first-trimester abortion and breast cancer, all efforts to disseminate that information here in the United States have been consistently blocked by those who favor abortion and population control. In the fall of 1996 a new scientific paper dealing with a meta-analysis of 23 different scientific studies on the relationship between first-trimester abortions and breast cancer was published in a British medical journal.

Women have to pay out of pocket for STD tests *IF* they go to Planned Parenthood. If they go to a county health department, or to a non-abortive health agency that’s part of the state-funded Women’s Health Program, they can still get tested for free or at a reduced cost.

Planned Parenthood is NOT the only provider of legitimate women’s health care!!!

Don’t make the know Kelsey, The religious fundamentalists will try to stop this as well. They’d rather push their agenda at the expense of women’s health……

        Reasonable Gentleman,
Even for those who aren’t ‘religious fundamentalists,’ what this article says makes sense. Why should we have to pay for those who have HIV or diseases because they were irresponsible? I don’t want to pay for someone else’s problem. I will, however, gladly pay for any of my own problems. It has nothing to do with religion. It has everything to do with taking responsibility of your own actions.
