As I knelt down at my bed side,
I knew the words that I would pray,
Your hand reached out and wiped away my tears of pain,
Through the years that quickly passed,
The moments I lost of your gracious pleasure,
But now I know of your love,
That will never compare to the softness of a dove,
I wish I knew long ago what I had,
My sweet Beloved,
I am sorry for my misdeeds,
I do despair,
But now the Spirit of Your Son shines from within,
My face all a glow with a kiss from heaven,
You sent to save my unworthy soul.
