For the Love of Another

Unforeseen life is condemned,
Cries of despair, I hear makes life quite unclear,
Wrath engulfs our misery,
The pain I feel can’t be real,
Tired and weak, I feel the earth shake beneath my tattered feet,
Fire rages filling the sky with fear,
What is left to face?
A corrupt world reveals life unfulfilled,
We find ourselves to blame,
Hiding our tears of shame,
We plead for your mercy,
For the love of another,
Our faithful Shepherd fell for the lame,
On high, a mountain of green,
His pain has never been left unseen,
Once again I shall kneel,
My prayer I will send up high above,
Quiet and calmness I seek,
A safe, tranquil place is my desire,
Just a few moments to transpire,
Endless peace will embrace my soul,
Heaven is not far from this place of devastation,
There is strength to be found in this weakened state,
For the love of another,
His last breath he breathed,
His body laid blood stained,
When the great stone was rolled away,
His presence was made known to behold,
Jesus rose to reign all of eternity!
