Boycott of MTV by teens across the country

Stand True launches – idontwantmymtv.com – Asking kids to sign a pledge to abstain from MTV.

Fredericksburg , VA. – Stand True (www.standtrue.com), a youth pro-life organization is launching a new website called "I don’t want my MTV".  Bryan Kemper, the founder and former Director of Rock For Life recently formed Stand True and is calling on kids to take an MTV abstinence pledge, asking them to abstain from MTV.

“MTV has become one of the most disgusting and pornographic channels on television” said Kemper, Director of Stand True. “MTV started as a music station that played videos and has turned into a soft-core porn channel for kids.”  Stand True is asking kids to turn off MTV and protect their minds from the onslaught of garbage being fed to them.

Stand True is launching a nationwide program sending MTV abstinence pledge cards around the nation to collect signatures from young people willing to commit to abstain from watching MTV.  “We want to show MTV and their sponsors that young people are fed up with their irresponsible and immoral programming” said Kemper.

Stand True is also outraged with MTV’s toll free number for kids that helps connect them to an abortion clinic or get them birth control and abortion information in a plain white wrapper so their parents won’t know about it. “It seems MTV thinks they know what’s better for kids than their parents and want kids to listen to them instead” said Kemper.  “Parents need to wake up and start looking out for what their kids are watching before stations like MTV influence their children into life changing, devastating and even deadly decisions.”
