This is the generation that will abolish abortion

Pro-abortion Blog Calls Special Needs Son of Sarah Palin “Somewhat Alive” and Makes Fun Of Him For Being “Retarded”

I have been angry about a lot of things the pro-abortion activist have done and written in the past. Just last week Keith Olberman called for the retro-active abortion of conservative columnist, SE Cupp. While Keith makes my blood boil at times, nothing compares to what the pro-abortion blog Wonkette just posted about Sarah Palin’s son.

I do realize this blog is heavy satire, but this goes beyond comedy and falls under just plain tasteless garbage. They posted a poem that Sarah wrote for her son on his birthday:

Sweet Angel Boy…

Oh, little boy what are you dreaming about
Candy canes and mom’s sweet hugs

Oh, sweet baby boy what are you dreaming about
Play cars…trains…planes and a daddy’s strong hands as he lifts you high and makes you laugh…oh, how safe you feel in those hands

Oh, little boy what are dreaming about
Sisters who play with you…and teach you new words

Oh, as you sleep little boy what are you dreaming about
A big bother that carries you on his shoulders…as he shows you the blue sky

Oh, little boy what are you dreaming about
A mother’s soft lullaby…the soft touch of her hand…the soft sound of her voice as she says “I Love You”
Dream on little boy as the Angels stand guard

And then posted this response to the poem:

What’s he dreaming about? Nothing. He’s retarded.

I don’t care how much someone does not like Sarah Palin, this is absolutely crass. No child deserves this kind of bashing, especially a special needs child. Further down in their rancid post they write:

“Why just celebrate tax day today, April 18th? It’s also Trig Paxson Van Palin’s 3rd birthday. His mom went to a lot of trouble to leak amniotic fluid over 8 states to make sure that he arrived in this world somewhat alive,

The crazy thing is that this article sounds like it could have been written by the likes of Adolf Hitler, Peter Singer or Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger. The eugenic implications of this post are scary and should send chills down everyones spine who reads it. The writer actually uses the phrase “somewhat alive”; as to infer that Trig was only a partial human person.

We need to wake up and realize that this kind of thinking is real, Peter Singer is the current head of ethics at Princeton University and he is a proud eugenicist. While this was somewhat wrapped in a failed attempt at comedy it is obvious that the writer actually believes what he is saying.

Anyone who has heard me speak and listened to my testimony knows I was raised as a special needs kid even taking part in the special olympics. I had brain damage as a baby from Spinal Meningitis and was in special education for years which makes me take these kind of comments personal.

Lerryn Kidd, a Stand True missionary commented, “to insinuate that a special needs child cannot dream is ludicrous, my special needs sister lives out many of her dreams such as being an equestrian”. “I am deeply offended that anyone would call someone like my sister or Trig Palin, somewhat alive; a statement like that is simply moronic.”

Obviously NOT somebody from the politically correct crowd. And certainly not somebody who supports neurodiversity in the human species.

Playin the Hitler card, eh? Classy

Kevin the fact that you only point that out and cannot even say anything in defense of the way special needs kids were targeted in this post shows how callous you really are. Yes I will play the “Hitler Card” here because it fits.

Hitler card I believe fit perfectly. Whoever thinks what was said about Palin’s child is appropriate or true, regardless whether they like her politics or not, is just as ignorant as the writer in regards to that themselves. 🙂 Cannot justify it really….

A lot of people have trouble believing the part of my testimony where it says that the horrible, rude, anti-life, eugenic viewpoints of most of my fellow atheists are what pushed me over the line into considering Christianity. This is a good example of what I was talking about.

My older son had meningitis as a baby and is now in special ed, too, Bryan. I hope he grows up to be even half as cool as you are. 🙂

The poem made me tear up. I can’t imagine having to go through such heart brake as having a special needs child. Undoubtedly her love for him is no less than that of her other children, maybe more…..

Albert Einstein, Thomas Jefferson, Mozart, Lewis Carrol, Isaac Newton, Hitler and Charles Darwin, among other revolutionary minds, were autistic. Shut up about special needs children, pro-abortion. They’re more alive than your kids.

Born with high-end autism and epilepsy, barely passed high school, and evn I can tell that there’s no so-called humor in this. In this generation where “entertainment” is getting to the point of a loose term, it’s no wonder many think it’s funny, yet I fail to see it and would not want to in the first place. It is disgusting how some think of people who are born differently than they.

I can’t follow the link to read the stupid blog. It upsets me what you’ve pointed out so far about it, Bryan. On the other end of the spectrum, my mom has advanced Alzheimer’s, so she can’t tell you her name, can’t tell you how old she is, can’t dress herself, can’t use the restroom on her own, can’t tell you the date, etc. It only a matter of time before someone puts out on a blog explaining how someone with advanced Alzheimer’s is somewhat alive.

Trig was born with down syndrome, out of his control, and my mom developed Alzheimer’s, out of her control. Doesn’t make them less human.

People like the jerks over at Wonkette drove me away from the Democrats and over to the Republicans. Let them show their hatred as pro-abortion jerks. It’s real good advertising for the pro-life side. Let them make mocking attacks on babies and nasty retarded jokes. Let them show themselves to be like the Nazis and the hate mongers that they are. It’ll turn people away from their side, as will false witness about incest in a family they just don’t like.
BTW: Politicians have always brought their children out in front of the cameras. Only when Sarah Palin came on the scene and the hate mongers went nuts over her, did it ever become an excuse to attack the children in the media. You have to have a certain level of evil to want to attack children anyway, no matter whether the parents ask for it or not.

In other words “Lebensunwertes Leben” (life unworthy of life) as the Nazis would put it. The individual who complained about the Hitler card being played needs to educate himself about the German euthanasia program.

Yes, In 1939 Hitler authorised a “euthanasia” program to rid Germany of all those people classified as “Life unworthy of life“, Lebensunwertes Leben or Eugenics. The first to be murdered under the Nazi Action T-4 program were babies and children, including those with Down syndrome.

Henry Friedlander, Jewish historian of the Holocaust, is quoted as saying “The T4 Program was the crucial seed that gave birth to the Holocaust.”

I cannot express the sadness that is in my heart regarding the evil and horrible hatred it must take to attack such defenseless people.Get upset if you must but, God is not into “quality of Life” (whatever that means?) HE is into the “sanctity” of life–ALL LIFE. I realize my belief is based on God’s word, BUT, also, doesn’t it just make logical sense too ? We all have a purpose–just like (in nature) all things (slimy, ugly and gross) also have a purpose. Bless you, Abigail, God’s love will find you. Remember, the dim light now present in some of yours loved ones eyes does not affect their hearts. Kindness and love can spread too, you know !!! Makes ya feel good too !! Try it !!!

[…] Bryan Kemper points out that pro-abortion people like the blogger at Wonkette, who this week called Trig Palin “retarded” and “somewhat alive” (causing the blog to lose advertisers) actually believe what they’re saying, despite attempts to pass their crassness off as “humor.” […]
