This is the generation that will abolish abortion

Teens using abortion as contraception in South Africa, a heartbreaking article.

This article I found in a South African News Paper: I bet Planned Parenthood would love this article and be so proud of this girl, until they read the part at the end of the story where she regrets her abortions. Planned Parenthood would also argue that this is just more of a reason to give kids contraception instead of educating them about chastity and purity. Once again I will argue that this kind of a story is more evidence that the Gospel of Christ must be the center of the pro-life message, these girls need the hope of Christ not better contraception.

By the age of 17, Sindi* had had three legal abortions – two within six months and a third a year later. She is the face of a shocking trend sweeping through the nation’s youth – using abortions as a form of contraception.

Some say it’s easier than accessing contraceptives at community clinics and hospitals, while others believe myths that contraceptives will make them sick or fat, and opt not to use them.

Sindi was 16 when she had her first abortion. Too young to raise a child and impregnated after a one-night stand, she decided to abort the baby. Six months later, she fell pregnant again.

She blamed immaturity, forgetfulness and stupidity for the decisions she made then.

“It was a wild time in my life.

“I was drinking and partying with people a lot older than me and I suppose I didn’t give much thought to the consequences of my actions.”

Sindi, now 24, admitted she had become lax in practising safe sex with her boyfriend after her first abortion. This was performed when she was 17 after she was told by “cold, semi-aggressive and judgmental” nurses that she would not be able to conceive again after the procedure.

She was caught off guard 18 months later when she discovered she was pregnant again.

Another woman, who had two abortions in a year, said: “I didn’t think it was a problem. In retrospect, I’m ashamed of myself.”

More than 68 000 abortions were performed on girls under 18 at state clinics between 1997 and 2008. This figure is almost 10 percent of the number – 702 354 – of abortions performed on women over 18.

I don’t think that in anyway that this proves that abstinence should be taught more to these young girls. They should be taught the truth about contraceptives and that they should be more readily available. Makes me angry to hear that woman use abortion as birth control. Sickens me!

Preborn genocide used as birth control or preborn genocide used as a back up to failed birth control – the difference is irrelevant. The fact is we allow for dismembering preborn humans. One abortion or 16 abortions, an abortion on a child who’s 4 weeks old or 24 weeks, all abortions are a violation of basic human rights.

Birth control has only harmed women. Not only is it physically bad for a woman, it is emotionally bad as well. Sex is meant to be a creative act within a marriage relationship. When we work outside of God’s plans for this we take what we want (sex) and shun God’s will for us. This is a disordered life. Women are used, men don’t have to take responsibility (and vs. versa) and children are murdered or suffer without a proper environment in which to grow up and be nurtured. With all the pain in the world, you cannot tell me the that birth control and abortion has added to the goodness of life.

    Hi mommy ({}).
I am only 3/4 of an inch long, but I have all my organs. I love the sound of your voice. Everytime I hear it I wave my arms and legs. The sound of your heart beat is my favourite lullaby.

    Month 2
Mommy, today I learned how to suck my thumb. If you could see me you could definitely tell I’m a baby. I’m not big enough to survive outside my home though. Its so nice and warm here.

    Month 3
You know what mommy, I’m a girl. I hope that makes you happy. I always want you to be happy. I don’t like it when you cry, it makes me sad too. And I cry with you even though you can’t hear me.

    Month 4
My hair is starting to grow. It is very short and fine, but I will have a lot of it. I spend a lot of my time exercising. I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes and stretch my arms and legs. I’m getting quite good at it too.

    Month 5
You went to that doctor again. I don’t like him. He seems cold and heartless </3. Something is intruding my home. The doctor called it a needle. Mommy what is it? It burns! Please make him stop! I can't get away from it! Mommy help me!

    Month 7
Mommy, I'm okay. I am in Gods arms [O:)] . He is holding me. He told me about abortion. Why didn't you want me mommy?

    Every abortion is just:

    One more heart stopped [♥]
Two more eyes that will never see
Two more ears that will never hear
Two more hands that will never touch
Two more legs that will never run
One more mouth that will never speak
