This is the generation that will abolish abortion

TLC Censors Pro-life T-shirt on 19 Kids and Counting – Let’s let them know how we feel about this.

Last week I was excited to see our Stand True T-shirt “I Survived Roe vs Wade, Roe vs Wade Will Not Survive Me” on an episode of 19 Kids and Counting. I got tweets from friends and my wife called to tell me that my daughter was freaking out when she saw the shirt.

Tonight I was excited to watch a new episode and see if any of the family was wearing one of our shirts again. I was shocked when I saw the shirt again but this time I was shocked because they had actually blurred out the message.

I met several of the Duggars last January at the Students for Life of America Conference and gave Jessa one of the “I Survived Roe” shirts and offered them for the whole family. Jessa e-mailed me and asked if I could send a box of shirts for everyone. They actually took some family photos wearing the shirts and have tweeted out the photos and promoted our pro-life store.

Knowing how dedicated to the pro-life cause the Duggars are, I expected to see the shirts many times on their show. It really amazes me that TLC would censor this; it’s not like people don’t know the Duggar’s beliefs.

Knowing that the shirt appeared in the previous episode without being blurred, I am wondering if they received complaints or negative feedback after it aired. I say we show TLC that there is so much more support for the Duggars wearing these shirts than there are complaints.

I hope everyone reading this will tweet and e-mail TLC and let them know how disappointed you are that they would blur out this pro-life message.

SO disappointed that you are on the side of the Culture of Death. You are either for Life or for Death. TLC used to be one of my favorite stations…will have to be more selective or watch it on Netflix, or not watch your channel at all…come on Nielson Ratings!!!!

My name is Dale Barr and I am from Cornwall, Ontario Canada. I am Prolife ! I had an abortion at 16 which I regret and I now speak out on behalf of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign. I also help run Rachel’s Vineyard retreats twice a year in Saranac Lake New York. I am so disappointed to hear that TLC is censoring the Prolife message 🙁

This is Ridiculous if u block that T-shirt from viewers seeing it, for they already know that they are PRO-LIFe and there is nothing wrong with being PRO-LIFE!! You all want to put GAYS on TV and we don’t want to see that, but when someone is doing what is RIGHT u BLOCK IT OUT, what about all the nasty stuff u put on women half naked, and use of bad language and so on!!! I DON”T UNDERSTAND the MEDIA or U PRODUCERS!!!! We will all be JUDGED by GOD !!

Good. This whole show is an embarrassment to anyone born after the enlightenment. It’s terrible that TLC is giving these people a venue to barf their strange belief in over-procreation at the entire world. At least they’re blurring out this nonsense.

So, Chris which members of the Duggar household should be eliminated? You seem to be saying that their existence is nonsense. If you think there are too many people on this earth why is your solution to tell others not to engage in “procreation”. You do not have to do so. You are also free not to watch their program. This family is whole, they support themselves, they have a code that is governed by a Higher Power, they respect each other & their neighbors, they support each other in joy, sorrow & failure. They give back to their community. Where is this “nonsense” you speak of? What is wrong with a pro-life message?

It’s so sad to see how TLC doesnt respect the freedom of expression and believes, this amazing and wonderful family is doing great things to this nation brings hope, showing how a family should be with good moral standars.
We ask TLC producers to respect their freedom of expression of their beleives, because they are representing a great number of people that believe the same!!

Live another day. Instead of aborting consider carrying your child and placing it in the arms of a man and woman bound by covenantal marriage who yearn for a child but are physically unable to have one of their own.

Another example of the intolerance of the ‘liberal elite’ in media. I am outraged that they violated your Constitutional rights to freedom of speech. For this reason, I will no longer watch anything on TLC. I hope your family sues this network of fascists.

People watch the show because 19 kids obviously state the Duggars are pro-lifers. Why censor the shirt? If you want to talk censorship, get rid of all the shows that show more body than clothes.

The shirts make no sense. You can’t “survive” Roe vs Wade unless you survived a botched abortion. If you survived a botched abortion then you can wear this shirt.

    • Posted October 10, 2014 at 8:52 am | Permalink

It makes since because Roe vs Wade is not an abortion that you survived, it is a Supreme Court decision that allowed for you to be aborted. Therefore if you did not get aborted, you survived.

    To you anti-choice people:

I wasn’t aware that a Supreme Court decision making abortion a legal option available to women who might chose to have one also has the power to induce spontaneous abortions in women who didn’t want them.

If you don’t want or need an abortion, don’t have one.
And stop telling everyone else what they can do.

Actually, “YeahRight” it seems that most everyone on here is “Pro Choice”, starting with the child in the womb’s right to make her OWN major choices, starting with the most basic, the right to her own LIFE!

BTW, it wasn’t too long ago that many people said, “if you don’t want slaves, don’t have one, and stop telling us what to do.” It’s a pathetically weak argument but one that abortion advocates keep repeating today with the same vigor as former slaveowners (just substituting”abortion” for “slaves”)…
