This is the generation that will abolish abortion

Tosh.0 Mocking Until Abortion Ends

So I am getting bombed with messages about my “until abortion ends” clip being on the Comedy Central show Tosh.0. Many people are upset that they make fun of us, but what we need to realize is that they gave this campaign a huge boost and free advertising. We need to pray for them but also be thankful that God used them to publicize http://www.untilabortionends.com/

You can watch the Comedy Central segment here: http://tosh.comedycentral.com/video-clips/until-abortion-ends?xrs=share_copy

While he mocked us, he mocked abortion and in fact he really made abortion look ugly.

Abortion is ugly, and pretty much anyone who decides to go through with it does it as a last resort. I have a son that I love very much that my partner and I chose to have when all her family was suggesting abortion and when it would have been much simpler to go that route.

With that out of the way, I can confidently say that this is by far the most foolish and offensive pro-life campaign I have ever seen.

First of all (though I accept that the internal rationale maybe different) it suggests that God is more or less indiffernet to the current political situation regarding abortion, but that maybe, if we all pitched in, God would take a closer look it. Or that he demands sacrifice in some way, and as an alternate to unborn children… it’s candy and soda pop.

Many women have had abortions that they felt were necessary but no one goes into it lightly as if you’re having a pimple removed, to assume so is incredibly offensive to anyone struggling with such a serious issue. To trivialize it by giving up “treats” is offensive in the extreme and does great damage to the pro-life movement.

The final and most pertinent point is obvious. Even if abortion were made illegal worldwide, it would still take place, but be ever more dangerous and socially destructive than it arguably is currently.

I haven’t been this mad in a long time. It’s of such poor taste to poke fun at such a controversial, emotionally-charged issue like this. Thanks for sharing, Bryan, I will definitely be praying for them. And you’re right, it’s a lot of free advertising. To God be the glory.

That’s why I don’t watch Tosh.0. And to quote the top comment on that vid, “I’m giving up Tosh.0 until abortion ends.”
