This is the generation that will abolish abortion

Where is the “pro-choice” outrage?

I want someone who is “pro-choice” to explain how come the “pro-choice” community is not screaming at the top of their lungs about this story. Planned Parenthood, NARAL and the rest should be outraged that a court is deciding for this young woman and not allowing her, her own choice –

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, January 9, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Texas court has extended a temporary restraining order to prevent a 14-year-old girl from undergoing a forced abortion for at least two more weeks. Another court granted the motion in late December, after the girl’s lawyers say her parents physically assaulted the teenager in an effort to compel her to abort her unborn child.

Her legal counsel sought to have the order extended until the baby’s birth. Instead, on January 4, Judge Missy Medary of the 347th District Court appointed a guardian ad litem, a counselor who will advise the court what he deems to be in the girl’s best interests at a hearing on January 19. The judge will make a final determination at that time.

The so-called pro-choice movement is very selective about which choices they support and defend. That is why it’s so hypocritical of them to call themselves pro-choice.

Lifeys, the outrage is right on the web, but in the form of ironic “I told yous.”. Anti-abortion activists were so concerned to stop abortion that they forgot about “my body, my choice.” It was you who wanted parental consent for abortion; now you have it for childbirth. It was you who sought guardianship of fetuses in court to prevent women from having abortions; now, you have a judge ordering a guardianship of a pregnant girl probably to insure you all have not brainwashed her. Pro-choice supports a girl’s/woman’s right to choose, without coercion, whether or not to continue a pregnancy. To us, coercive abortion is as bad as coercive pregnancy because both are coercion. This case surprised me, though. Doctors at properly run abortion clinics (e.g., by PP) are usually all about choice. They talk to the potential patient, seek to learn if she has serious doubts, and counsel her that they will not schedule an abortion unless/until after she thinks more and decides she really wants that – they do not perform abortion because a patient’s parent or person other than the patient wants it. Have no fear. Lifeys. All of us pro-choice Xenas do support that girl’s right to choose and Roe v Wade will help. But please, allow us our wry smiles as we see you discover that what you thought was Satan turned out to come from the Spirit of the Lord. It’s pro-choice or no choice for all of us, whatever the choice.
