Abortion supporters hate the word “abortion” and avoid using it whenever possible. If they are forced to use it, they follow it with the word “care” as if there is anything caring about abortion.
The many ways pro-abortion politicians, entertainers and ideologues avoid telling the truth about abortion will be the topic of Father Frank Pavone’s talk this Saturday, September 7th, at the “Let There Be Life Conference” at the University of California Berkeley.
“The last thing abortion supporters want to talk about is abortion,” said Father Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “In the pro-life movement, based on reason, we expose the undeniable truth of what abortion is, and when we do so, the consciences of most people reject abortion.”
Priests for Life Youth Director Bryan Kemper also will speak at the conference organized by Pro-Life San Francisco. Mr. Kemper’s deeply personal talk, “How to Respond When Your Teenage Daughter Tells You She’s Pregnant,” will spread the message that shaming young women for getting pregnant can lead them to consider abortion.
The conference will take place from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. in the Pauley Ballroom of UC Berkeley, 2495 Bancroft Way in Berkeley.
Fr. Frank will speak from 5:30 to 6pm.
Bryan Kemper will speak from 3:15-3:45 pm on how to talk to your teen when she tells you she is pregnant and as pro-lifers getting away from shame to acceptance. The pregnancy itself is not the sin.
Terrisa Bukovinac, founder and executive director of Pro-Life San Francisco, said this year’s theme is “The Hero’s Journey” and is designed to help pro-life activists break out of their comfort zones to “find a path towards justice for the most marginalized among us.”
Registration for the conference is still open. Go to ProLifeSF to register and for more information.
On Friday, September 6th, there will be a protest rally at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
According to Pro-Life San Francisco, “UCSF is the late-term abortion training capital of the U.S., the world’s most politically motivated medical institution on abortion expansion, and facilitator of some of the most grotesque experiments involving human fetal tissue on the planet.”
The protest will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Koret Quad, Campus Way and Fourth St. in San Francisco.
